Since the end of 2015, I have sent out an Invitation each week to folks both near and far, to join me in reading this beautiful and powerful book…read more
Good wintry morning to you,
As the shimmering stars and glorious moon slide across this chilly, clear, dawning of a new day, I write to you; sending out a call, casting out a net. Hours ago, I awoke to Grandmother Moon’s brilliant light, with this message shaking me awake. I have considered this call for many months…it seems to be Time.
I invite you to gather together, to share in reading aloud Martín Prechtel’s new book, The Smell of Rain on Dust: Grief and Praise.
I’ll have an assortment of teas and honey and hot water ready for you. If you’d like to bring finger-food snacks, lovely, but most importantly bring your tender heart. I have four chairs and plenty of floor space – bring a cushion if you’d like.
We’ll begin close to the beginning of the New Year…I can’t think of a better way to begin…
I’ll be here, reading out loud, and hope you’ll join me and share the Beauty.
Happy Holy Days and much love to you.
PS The mighty Sun just crested this little ridge that I live upon, broke through the trees and is SHINING RIGHT IN MY EYES!
